Voices of Success
Pratyush Agarwal
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
As an international student pursuing my master’s at UIUC, I relate deeply to Zolve’s mission of helping students manage the financial and practical challenges of building a life in the U.S. What stands out to me about the Zolve Global Scholarship is that it does not just provide funding, but also recognizes ambition, leadership, and the ability to create meaningful impact.
That resonates with my own journey. Across my academic and professional experiences, I have focused on using data and problem-solving to create measurable outcomes, and this scholarship would both support my next step and reinforce the kind of impact I hope to keep making as I grow in my career.
Abhinav Velaga
UNC CHARLOTTE
As an international student at UNC Charlotte, I’ve experienced firsthand how exciting yet financially and emotionally demanding moving abroad can be. The Zolve Global Scholarship resonates with me because it supports students navigating this transition while also building a community around shared experiences. Beyond financial support, I’m drawn to Zolve’s mission of helping students establish themselves globally—especially in areas like credit building and financial independence. I want to be part of a network that empowers students to succeed abroad and also contribute by helping others adapt more smoothly.
Addington Tatenda Muza
University of New Haven
I am interested in the Zolve Global Scholarship because it supports international students navigating both academic and financial transitions. As a graduate student in Finance in the U.S., I have experienced the challenges of building a new life while pursuing academic excellence. This scholarship would not only ease financial pressure but also allow me to focus on developing my skills in financial analysis and contributing meaningfully to my academic community. I also resonate with Zolve’s mission of empowering global citizens, and I aim to reflect that through my academic and professional journey.
Het Patel
Illinois Institute of Technology
I am interested in the Zolve Global Scholarship because it would support me at an important stage of my journey as an international student. Along with my academics, I have been actively working on projects and research to grow my skills and build a strong future. At the same time, managing an education loan and the added pressure of a depreciating rupee creates financial stress while handling academic challenges abroad. This scholarship would help reduce that burden and give me meaningful support as I continue working toward my goals.
Muhammad Waqar Saleem
University of Missouri - Columbia
As an international student from Pakistan pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Missouri, I understand the financial and logistical challenges that come with studying abroad. The Zolve Scholarship aligns with my journey — I moved to the US to work on real-time urban flood forecasting using machine learning, a field with direct societal impact. This scholarship would help ease the financial transition and allow me to focus more fully on my research, which aims to protect communities from flood disasters. Beyond finances, I'm drawn to Zolve's mission of supporting international students holistically as they build lives in a new country.
Tafadzwa Nyamajiwa
Northeastern University
As an international student pursuing an MS in Biotechnology at Northeastern University, I am navigating a field that is highly global by nature. My interest in the Zolve Global Scholarship stems from its unique mission to remove financial burden of moving abroad. Biotechnology requires immense focus and long lab hours and having a financial partner that understands the specific challenges that international student face such as building credit and cross border banking, allows me to dedicate my energy to my research and professional growth rather than logistical stress.
