How to Open a U.S. Bank Account with Zolve?

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of opening a bank account? Long queues? A blue folder with documents that look like they’re gasping for breath? Or you punishing yourself for forgetting your pen again?

Isn’t it weird that every single one of us, irrespective of our nationality, collectively gets united to dread the feeling of personally going to a bank to open an account? That too, even in this day and age, when everything from food to groceries to cabs can be ordered online, why not a U.S. bank account?

Enter, Zolve: A Cross-border Neo bank

This was one of the things we wanted to solve under our overarching goal of creating a world that’s not restricted by financial borders. We wanted to take a fresh approach to banking for global citizens. One which is simpler and faster.

With a fully digital setup, Zolve helps you open a U.S. bank account without waiting in those tiresome queues, holding a lengthy list of documents and that dreadful pen. You can open a Zolve account from the  comfort of your home wherever you are in the world within just minutes.

How to open a Zolve Account?

Step 1: Download the Zolve App & Create an Account

First things first, you need to download the Zolve app from the App Store or Play Store. Then, hit “Create Account” on the home screen since it’s your first time.

Step 2: Enter your Email id & Phone Number

For verification purposes, start off the onboarding process by punching in your email id & phone number. We verify this information by sending you a secure code on your email and phone number. Once both are verified, you’ll be taken to the next step.

Step 3: Basic Information Details

Like all banks, we have a Know Your Customer (KYC) check verifying your identity and ensuring platform safety. Don’t worry; it is just basic details like where you are from (nationality), full name, date of birth, and your travel plans.

Step 4:  Document Submission & Verification

Once you’re done, we’ll have to check whether the information you’ve provided is accurate or not. For that, we’ll require just a couple of documents.

To confirm your identity, we’ll need your SSN details. If SSN details don’t apply to you, then upload your passport. That will do the job.

Then, for address verification purposes, we’ll need the details of your U.S. address. If you don’t have a permanent address just yet, you can upload the temporary details as well.

Lastly, you’ll have to upload your US Visa details. You can just click a picture of your approved F1, H1B or H4 Visa and upload it on the app. This is done so that we have an idea of your travel itinerary.

And, that’s it! You’re done :)

The goal is a fairly simple one: to save your time and money. That’s why we open a U.S. bank account for you in 5 minutes without any charges.
