About Me:
Country girl, raised in Victor, NY on a 30 acre "yard" where my brothers and sisters and I romped until we dropped. Ahh...the good old days. My stay-at-home Mom was a professional dressmaker and later a weaver. She belonged to the Weaver's Guild of Rochester and taught several levels of weaving at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. All of my brothers and sisters are "artsy" but I took on the sewing trade - and love it. (Almost as much as real estate.) When time allows, I sew for private clients and teach sewing seminars.
I am a graduate of Rochester's Monroe Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Applied Police Science.
I was an Undercover Narcotics Agent; worked the gun squad, prostitution ring, gambling and white collar crime details. I policed the City streets, trained police officers and conducted background investigations. There are far too many other assignments and experiences to name here but suffice it to say that I had a lovely career with the Rochester Police Department and retired in 1997 after 21 years of service.
I was still young, and incredibly blessed to have come out on the other side, safe and sound and in one piece. So, thereinafter started the adventure. I relocated to Ghana, West Africa (That is a whole other story in itself). I later lived, worked and played, first in Rockledge, Florida and then Huntsville, Alabama before my senses came back to me and I realized that home, Rochester, NY, was the place that I wanted to be. There's no place like home. Once back home, I fell in love with real estate. I fell hard too! Seems like just a natural progression, though, since I had been service and people oriented for so many years. I can absolutely, without a doubt, say that I LOVE MY REAL ESTATE...and the people who come with it. My second career has turned out to be my true passion.
