Most of us have faced setbacks at one time or another. It can be hard to focus on a plan of action to push ourselves through the situation we're facing and to find perspective on those issues.
How do you handle a setback in your goals? What you do to minimize the glitch in your plans?? Let me know what you think of this article by Edward Smith...
Quick Steps To Handle Setbacks
Looking for a way to handle a setback?
First, step back and remind yourself of the reason you picked the goal you had a setback in, in the first place. Looking at the bigger picture helps you regain the will to attack the goal again. Next, adopt the attitude of a disinterested observer looking at what happened versus the goal, and ask yourself as the disinterested observer, what you would recommend as a way to overcome the setback. This helps to remove some of the negative emotions associated with the setback and makes it easier to learn from the failure. Then adapt this feedback on the reason for the failure into a new plan and begin to implement it as soon as possible. Finally, realize that only "wins" count and failures don’t, because the key is to keep going back at it until you succeed. The most successful people realize that the more you fail, the more chances you will finally succeed. Winners fail more than losers do, because they keep going back until they win.
